The AJS brand can be traced back to the early 1900s when four brothers Jack, Joe, Harry and George decided to start producing motorcycles. AJS was derived from Jack’s name – his full name being Albert John Stevens. He was the only brother with a middle name. AJS is a wholly British Company which manufacturing small and medium sized eye catching, fun and value for money motorcycles in China

2010 sees AJS celebrating its 100th anniversary and boasts a racing success from 1914-1968, the late Malcolm Davis came 1st place in 1968 British Motocross Championship on 250cc AJS Y4. For anyone interested in knowing more about AJS’s history we recommend that you read Steve Mill’s book – A.J.S. of Wolverhampton – an excellent read which includes descriptions of the early engines, sidecars, motorbikes and much more!
